Vintage French Backspring Release Knives
These knives were made by Société de Coutellerie et Orfèvrerie Française
(S.C.O.F)
This company was founded in 1732 and has recently closed. These coffin shaped
      
knives are opened, and closed by lifting the lever on the backspring.
This "coffin" shaped knife is opened by lifting the lever on the
backspring. The blade tang is stamped "INOX", over "NOXI" in
an oval, over"FRANCE". The scales are beautiful jigged bone.
These are the larger sized models at 9-9/16"
These are the smaller sized models at 7-3/16"
The blade is stamped lengthwise "ALPINOX" inside
a triangle. The scales are beautiful jigged bone.
The blade is stamped lengthwise "S.C.O.F." over "FRANCE", with
a star and "INOX" to the right. The scales are beautiful jigged bone.
The blade is stamped lengthwise "INOXYDABLE." over
"NOXI" in an oval. The scales are beautiful jigged bone.
